About Me

Hello there! I’m Valeria…

…and I help prospective students and professionals to make sense of studying and working in the UK.

With the right information and advice, you can get that dream job and make the right decisions from the start!

I’ve seen cases where students either struggle with simple job searching aspects because they do not have the right information on hand, or pay thousands of pounds to recruitment agencies to get very generic impersonal advice.

I’ve also known people who gave up on their dream to work in the UK because they didn’t know who to ask for help…

When in reality, each of us is able to get into best universities, get the right job and make the most of life opportunities – all with just a little change of mindset and correct efficient help from a positive person (hintme!).

My own expat story began more than 12 years ago when I moved to the Middle East with my father, both of us spoke limited English and had no experience of living anywhere but our home country.

Now, I have a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Nottingham, and a Master’s degree from UCL, both acquired in the UK in the field of Economics. I have also successfully completed a graduate scheme in a top investment bank in London working in HR, and now I am a full-time Career Consultant for international students in the UK.

I really wish someone would have directed me at the beginning of my job search journey. It would have saved me a lot of time, a lot of money and a lot of energy!

Having lived and studied in different cities and countries, all as a foreign student or employee, I believe I have some crucial advice to share. What I love more than travelling and exploring different countries, is coaching and exchanging information with people.

My personal success with obtaining a Tier 2 work visa, as well as experience working in HR in an investment bank in London led me to help numerous international students secure full-time jobs in the UK with tier 2 visa sponsorship in the UK!

What you can expect from Mind The Grad (except individual support) is free information via my blog on studying and living abroad, as well as new videos on my YouTube channel every Wednesday!

I try to reply to every email I receive, don’t hesitate to contact me on [email protected] , via the below contact form or through my social media accounts.

Best of luck from Mind The Grad!
